As a Sustainability Analyst at Tosca, you will play a crucial role in our commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable business practices. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our sustainability initiatives through data analysis, lifecycle assessments (LCAs), and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting. You will work to develop and implement sustainability programs, collaborating with corporations and individual clients/customers to reduce negative impacts on the environment.

Work Schedule

This full-time position is based at Tosca's Headquarters in Atlanta, GA, with a hybrid work arrangement (Tuesday to Thursday in the office, Monday and Friday remote -- this is subject to change).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lifecycle Assessments (LCAs): 
   • Conduct LCAs to support customer engagement and sales team efforts
   • Prepare annual Environmental Footprint certificates for key customers
   • Assist in maintaining and improving our LCA software and methodologies
   • Gather and analyze data from various sources to enhance LCA accuracy
2. Data Management and Reporting: 
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and manage ESG data
   • Create clear, insightful data presentations to track key performance indicators
   • Manage supplier data collection and engagement processes
   • Support the development of sustainability reports and disclosures
3. Environmental Impact Assessment:
   • Assess environmental footprints, including energy usage and gas, water, or other waste emissions 
   • Develop and assess the viability of strategies to support conservation, increase usage of renewable resources, improve efficiency, or reduce energy costs or wasteful output
4. Continuous Improvement: 
   • Stay informed about trends in LCA methodologies, sustainability reporting standards, and market developments
   • Contribute to the improvement of internal sustainability processes and tools
   • Assist in ad-hoc sustainability projects and analyses as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related field 
• 0-2 years of experience in a sustainability-related role 
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills 
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) 
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities 
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines 
• Passion for sustainability and environmental issues 
• Ability to work as part of a team 
• Problem-solving and situation-analysis skills 
• Research skills and ability to identify and seek needed information 
• Knowledge of LCA methodologies and sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SBTi, CDP) 
• Experience with LCA software 
• Familiarity with ESG data management and reporting processes
