Are you passionate about tax preparation and consulting? We are seeking one or two talented individuals to join our team in a partner-level role. With several Principals retiring soon, we need quality staff to take their place. Our firm focuses primarily on tax preparation and consulting, but we also offer bookkeeping, compilation work, payroll, and general business consulting services.
#### About the Role:
As a Principal, you will manage your own book of clients and be compensated based on your personal billings and the billings of the staff under your management. This role offers the unique benefit of no equity buy-in and an existing client base ready for the right candidate to take over.
We prioritize a comfortable, relaxed work environment with a strong work-life balance. During tax season, you can expect to work 50-55 hours per week, while summer hours are typically 35-40 per week. Although most work is currently in-office, we offer flexible schedules and remote work options during non-peak times.
#### Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Preparation and Review: Prepare and review individual, trust, and small business tax returns.
- Client Coordination: Oversee periodic accounting for clients and ensure clear communication with staff, seniors, other principals, and clients.
- Client Management: Maintain and grow your book of business and manage assigned client relationships.
- Team Supervision: Supervise staff on assigned engagements and manage multiple projects, keeping colleagues informed of project status and completion dates.

#### Ideal Candidate:
- CPA with 4-6 years of experience in public accounting and/or tax preparation.
- Experience with Thompson Reuters UltraTax and QuickBooks is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
#### Minimum Requirements:
- 4-6+ years of experience in an accounting or tax position.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA License, Enrolled Agent, or other Circular 230 credentials.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
