Job Description:
This position will focus on Music Education and the Athletic Band and Marching Arts, including coordination with our largest and continually growing ensemble, the Maverick Machine Athletic Band. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in Music Education as well as collaborative oversight of the Maverick Machine Athletic Band, Pep Band, to running a portion of 80+ performances annually. The successful candidate should be prepared to teach courses in their area of expertise, and participate in scholarly/creative activity or research, continued preparation and study; contribute to student growth and development, as well as service to the department, university, and community.

The Department of Performing Arts currently has eighteen full-time faculty members, five staff members, and many adjunct faculty members. Within the Music program, we currently have eight full-time faculty members and several adjuncts. There are approximately 130 music majors within the department. We offer degrees in Music Education, Performance, as well as a Bachelor of Arts
degree.
