Job Description

To provide the guest with a comprehensive range of spa services reflecting the high levels of service and standards required.

 

Pearl River Resort Associates are required, on a continual basis to…

 

Adhere to any and all company and departmental policies, practices and procedures.

 

Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.

Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.

  • Have strong broad knowledge in field of Massage Therapy. Ability to accurately assess and treat according to individual client needs. Physical Ability to accurately, skillfully and artfully perform between 6-7 Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Reflexology, Body Wraps, Exfoliations and or other Massage modalities per day in a Spa Setting while maintaining uncompromising quality and customer service.
  • Actively build a repeat guest clientele, meet retail sales performance requirements, and consistently record and update all pertinent guest records.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of Company facilities, as well as special events on property, in order to advise guests of same, whenever possible.
  • Maintains the highest degree of confidentiality.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

AGE and GAMING:

18 years of age or above.

Gaming property – Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED is preferred. Must possess the required certifications and license as required by the State of Mississippi/or show proof of 600 hours of Massage Training.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Special technical skills such as deep tissue, reflexology, sports massage, and other massage related education preferred.  

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence. Ability to write basic instructions and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 

Essential responsibilities include light to moderate physical ability, able to lift and maneuver a minimum of fifty (50) pounds, push or pull a minimum of seventy-five (75) pounds. Extensive bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling and stretching of arms may be required throughout the assigned shift. Stand and/or walk approximately 100% of assigned shift. Perform position requirements and/or essential functions on slippery or wet surfaces. Work with hazardous chemicals and/or oils, lotions, heated equipment or other therapy amenities with care. Ability to perform at least five (5) hours of continuous massage therapy.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

 

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke.

 

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
