Private family looking hire a Live In OR Live Out Nanny/Housekeeper in Wading River, NY.

The Ideal Candidate: We are seeking a highly professional, friendly, and reliable candidate to provide both childcare and household support for a busy family. The ideal candidate will be great with children, capable of creating a fun, nurturing, and engaging environment, while also being organized and efficient in managing household tasks. Family is busy- they are looking to hire their long-term support. Candidate must be able to adapt, be proactive, and organized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide flexible childcare support, which may include morning and afternoon care, depending on the family’s schedule.
• Engage with two children, ages 5 and 6, who are in school full-time. Plan and participate in fun, educational, and age-appropriate activities, such as trips to the library and creative play.
• Foster a warm, caring, and positive environment for the children.
• Handle household responsibilities during school hours (there will also be a break during the day), including:
  • Grocery shopping
  • Organizing and tidying common areas
  • Meal prep
  • Receiving and managing deliveries and returns
  • Light housekeeping to maintain household cleanliness (a professional cleaning service is provided bi-weekly).

What Works Best for Family: Kind, compassionate, someone that has patience and experience with autism is a bonus (one child is high functioning). Someone who is proactive around the house as well as with the children to help alleviate some of the everyday stresses of running a household. Someone who is bubbly, approachable and loves their job!

Position Requirements

• Work Hours:– 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday. Will need some flexibility. Can be discussed in advance

• Experience:5 Years of Experience
• References:Minimum of 2 References
• Background:Background check upon contingent offer of hire
• Personality Traits: Bubbly, proactive, excited about their career and children, team player, organized.

Position Compensation

• Salary:$30-$32/hour
• Living Accommodations:Live In or Live Out
• Vacation: 2 weeks PTO
