S T U D I O A H E A D Studio AHEAD is a San Francisco-based collective of art and design professionals, focused on creating modern spaces filled with emotional narratives. We like to define our vision as a juxtaposition of Eastern and Western identities and an exploration of the possibilities inherent in combining contrasting elements—contemporary and primitive aesthetics, logic and intuition, raw and refined textures—when creating modern evocative environments. Whether working on the micro level of custom objects and furniture, or tailoring large-scaled projects, AHEAD aims to preserve and respect the culture of the place by embracing its values and helping translate them into a physical manifestation.

S T U D I O A S S I S T A N T J O B D E S C R I P T I O N The Studio Assistant’s role is to facilitate any support to the office day-to-day operations through providing production assistance and administrative support with the design team. This is an entry-level part-time position, that can potentially evolve into a full-time role. Our studio is located in Potrero Hill with a close proximity to SF Design District. We are looking for a motivated self-starter, who is comfortable wearing many hats, to support our growing team.

R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with an eye for detail • Perform product resourcing and assist with shopping • Prepare for internal project meetings, client meetings, and ongoing internal design activities • Gather quotes, check lead times, reserve fabrics • Request and expedite samples • Organize presentation trays and material library • Interface with vendors via phone calls and shop visits to coordinate production and expedite orders • Review project plans and understand project scope, completion schedules and other related documents • Assist in tracking project activities by maintaining and updating project files, schedules and other Excel documents, purchase orders and all other project materials in an organized, accurate and accessible manner • Work with team and vendors to coordinate deliveries, storage and orchestrate installations • Source items, price and research condition • Knowledge of space planning, furniture selection and layout. • Generate professional and detailed drawings, project sketches, space planning, floor plans, elevations in CAD or sketch form as necessary to facilitate concepts and design. • Track time daily and noting billable hours.

S K I L L S • Proficiency with Excel, Google Workspace& Adobe Suite software, AUTOCAD. • Proficiency with Pinterest, social media formats, video conferencing. • Exceptional organizational skills. • Graphic design and layout skills. • High level of attention to detail and follow-up. • Self-starter with the ability to work productively and collaboratively with minimal supervision. • Valid California driver’s license, access to automobile is a plus. • Enjoy working with others, team player. Pay: $60,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
