Job Summary:
We're looking for a dedicated and proactive Billing Manager to join our team! In this full-time role, you will lead and support our billing team, ensuring smooth operations and a positive work environment. Your main responsibilities will include overseeing the billing process, fostering team development, and making key decisions to balance efficient cash flow with our mission of excellence.
Structure and Schedule:
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, combining in-office and remote work. While you'll primarily work from home, you should be available to work in the office Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm as needed. This full-time role comes with a comprehensive benefits package and reports directly to the Revenue Cycle Manager.
Responsibilities:
Guide the billing team in clean claim submission, minimizing write-offs, and timely follow-up.
Set and support the team in achieving ambitious yet attainable targets with a compassionate approach.
Train and onboard new billing team members effectively.
Develop and maintain training tools and resources for the billing team.
Assist billers in troubleshooting and resolving issues to build their skills.
Foster a collaborative mindset focused on collective goals rather than individual objectives.
Conduct formal semi-annual performance reviews and provide immediate, constructive feedback with kindness.
Collaborate weekly with the Revenue Cycle Manager and other leaders.
Lead productive weekly team meetings focused on results, improvements, and skill development.
Identify and resolve system issues through direct interaction with payors and software providers.
Perform regular audits of billing reports to recognize achievements and areas for growth.
Monitor accounts receivable and payment reports to identify trends, address issues, and implement resolutions.
Understand insurance coverage from a billing perspective and help the team with routine eligibility reviews.
Learn and adapt to the requirements of new payors as contracts change.
Review the accuracy of accounts receivable, adjustments, and payment postings during month-end close.
Participate in special projects and other duties as needed.

Three years of relevant experience in medical billing or home health preferred
