Job Description

JOB SUMMARY Event Services Manager

Responsible for coordinating event documentation and collaborating with Sales, Catering, Property Departments, and customers to ensure high-level service throughout all event phases. Manages events of average complexity, ensuring seamless transitions between departments, and identifies opportunities to maximize revenue through up-selling and enhancements. Requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure client and guest satisfaction.

CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED; experienced (1 – 2 years of experience) in the event management or related professional area.

OR

• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; at least 1 year experience in the event management or related professional area required.

Key responsibilities include:

Seamlessly managing events by following procedures and coordinating with departments.

Greeting customers and ensuring a smooth handover to the Event Operations team.

Ensuring billing accuracy and reviewing bills with clients.

Managing group room blocks and meeting spaces for assigned groups and catering events.

Identifying and resolving operational challenges.

Integrating current trends in event management and design.

Acting as a liaison between the sales team and the customer.

Participating in site inspections and assisting in the sales process.

Soliciting feedback for continuous improvement in event planning and execution.

Customer Service:

Delivering exceptional customer service and encouraging the same from employees.

Empowering employees to provide excellent customer service.

Coordinating and communicating event details with customers and operations teams.

Staying available to address and resolve issues, ensuring guest satisfaction.

Leading pre- and post-event meetings and facilitating necessary discussions.

Reviewing guest feedback and satisfaction results with employees.

Providing feedback on service behaviors and assisting in corrective actions.

Continuously improving service performance through personal judgment and experience.

Sales and Marketing Support:

Assisting in sales processes and revenue forecasting.

Up-selling products and services during the event process.

Forecasting group sleeping rooms and event revenue.

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 annually.
