Job Description

VPG Construction is looking for a Construction Project Administrator. This Construction Project Administrator is responsible for overseeing the whole process of carrying out administrative duties for the organization’s construction project.  This role ensures that all materials required for the completion of the construction project are delivered to the construction site on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:

• Carrying out an on-site inspection of construction progress
• Examining and adequately understanding project specifications and architectural documents
• Reviewing and evaluating all projects while also ensuring strict compliance with budgets
• Working on construction sites and coordinating and/or managing construction projects while also ensuring that legal regulations are strictly adhered to
• Working cooperatively with other departments and ensuring compliance with all timelines
• Assisting other contractors with the evaluation of all contract documents and preparing reports for any deficiencies in the project
• Complying strictly with safety requirements by ensuring strict adherence to construction and safety regulations
• Documenting all construction activities and evaluating the progress of construction projects.

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to effectively coordinate various teams, project managers, and contractors, as well as write plans and proposals
• Strong interpersonal skills, since a construction administrator must work collaboratively with other managers and departments
• Excellent time management skills, since most construction projects are deadline-oriented
• Computer literacy to be able to keep accurate records of construction supplies
• Good management skills, since schedules are crucial to construction projects
• At least a High School Diploma or a bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field.

Requirements:

• Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening
• Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record
• Ability to work travel up to 25% locally
• Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move, and carry office materials and supplies weighing twenty pounds or less
