Join the Global LT teaching community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring an  English Language Teacher  to provide in-person customized lessons to children in Charlotte, NC.

Job Information:

• Class numbers: 176458
• Students: an 8-year-old child
• Availability: Monday through Thursday between 9:30 am and 6 pm.
• Preferred start date: ASAP
• Lesson frequency: Twice per week, 1.5 hour-lessons
• Students' location: Lessons are to be held at the family's home in Charlotte, NC 28277 (0.6 miles from Best Buy)
• Native language: German
• Student's language needs and goals: She wants to learn the basics and build her confidence and ability to speak and communicate in English. She would like to have a teacher who can follow guidelines and track progress. She has an Oxford book she would like to use if the teacher agrees, too. Classes should be fun and engaging, and they should be really focused on making her more confident and comfortable speaking. 
• Additional information: A  German-language-speaking teacher is required

Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

• Written and spoken proficiency in the target language
• Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or related field
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience
• Experience teaching children is a must
