We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Athletic Director to join our dynamic team. The Assistant Athletic Director will play a pivotal role in supporting the overall athletic program, fostering a culture of sportsmanship, teamwork, and excellence among our student-athletes. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Assistant Athletic Director at Hathaway Brown School will have responsibility for a variety of scheduling  duties including practice facilities, transportation, lodging, etc. The successful candidate is an integral part of  communicating pertinent information in a timely and accurate manner, from the Athletic Department to others  inside and outside the school as needed.  This is a full-time position requiring long hours during certain times of the year and many  evening hours attending and supporting the sporting events.

• Assist the Athletic Director in planning, organizing, and supervising all aspects of the athletic program.
• Coordinate scheduling of practices, games, and facilities usage.
• Support coaches in their professional development and ensure adherence to school policies and guidelines.
• Assist with the recruitment, hiring, and evaluation of coaching staff.
• Manage communication with student-athletes, parents, and the broader school community regarding athletic events and updates.
• Help maintain accurate records and documentation related to athletic participation, budgets, and equipment inventory.
• Collaborate with other school departments to ensure the integration of athletics with academics and student life.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Previous experience in coaching and/or athletic administration, preferably at the high school level.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Commitment to the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently as needed.
• Knowledge of rules and regulations governing interscholastic athletics.
