Accounting Assistant

This position is located in Conneaut, Ohio
Starting pay is $17.00 and up. Depending on experience. 
Monday through Friday 
8:30am- 5pm

Job Summary:
As a critical member of the Finance team, the Accountanting Assistant will provide support by managing daily accounting tasks, including cash receipts, maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable, & general data entry & reporting.
Well-versed in accounting principles and can work comfortably with numbers with keen attention to detail.
The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Daily posting of cash receipts
• Inputting accounts payable invoices.
• Ensuring timely payment of invoices and gathering appropriate signatures.
• Maintaining an organized filing system for accounts payable invoices and cash receipts.
• Assisting in gathering of documents for external audits.
• General data entry & reporting to assist in Finance & Operations departments.

• Works efficiently with a sense of urgency.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Excellent IT skills.

Education and Experience:

• Successful completion of accounting classes required, associate degree in business preferred.
• Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Pay Details: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour
